She has also received private trainings from Dr. Steve Weiner on ultrasound guided injections, Julie Horne’s masterclass on advanced lip injections, a cadaver course with international trainer Dr. David Sadaat, among trainings with several other nationally recognized trainers. Her own trainings are accredited by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists and Boards of Nursing. She is also an accredited speaker, speaking for the 2022 CRNA Entrepreneur Mastermind Summit and for the Indiana Association of Nurse Anesthetists. Smiley Aesthetics has grown in just under a year to 5 brick and mortar locations and over 90 mobile medspas in 9 states. Carla is an experienced injector who has been in the medical field for over 13 years. She grew up in Nashville, TN where she received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing followed by a Master of Science in Nursing Administration, a Master of Business Administration with a Healthcare focus, and, finally, a Doctorate of Nursing Practice. She worked in a variety of critical care and trauma settings before entering into Nursing Leadership roles. Her experience in hospital operations, healthcare business, and extensive knowledge of regulatory and other state statutes and laws gives her the unique ability to help medical providers set up an operationally efficient business from the start. She is a published author in the national American Nurse Journal on business systems and processes proving her expertise in the operations of business.
