Mary has been in the medical field for over 12 years. She grew up in Nashville, TN where she received an Associates degree in Nursing followed by a Bachelors degree in Nursing from East Tennessee State University. She worked in the Neurosurgical ICU at Vanderbilt University before attending the University of Tennessee to pursue her Masters degree in Nurse Anesthesiology. After receiving her degree in 2016, she began practicing in the operating room as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthesiologist and continues to do so today. Mary recently relocated back home to Nashville with her two beautiful children and loving husband. She worked in a medical spa in downtown Knoxville for over 2 years prior to founding Smiley Aesthetics.

Mary is an experienced and accredited aesthetic injectables trainer and educator with certifications from Allergan, International Association For Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine, American Medical Educators Training, and American Academy of Facial Esthetics.  She has also received private trainings from Dr. Steve Weiner on ultrasound guided injections, Julie Horne’s masterclass on advanced lip injections, a cadaver course with international trainer Dr. David Sadaat, among trainings with several other nationally recognized trainers.  Her own trainings are accredited by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists and Boards of Nursing. She is also an accredited speaker, speaking for the 2022 CRNA Entrepreneur Mastermind Summit and for the Indiana Association of Nurse Anesthetists.  She is also faculty for the Aesthetic Next 5.0 2023 conference speaking on two topics in aesthetics business and clinical.  She continues to advance her aesthetic education and practice on a daily basis. Pricing for certification and training includes all supplies and products.

Mary has a passion for helping others look their best from the inside out. She believes in taking collagen to support your skin, hair, nails, and joints from the inside while using injectables to enhance your natural beauty on the outside. She is also passionate about training others and helping them begin their aesthetic journey! She offers one on one, small group, and larger group certification and training courses.

Carla is an experienced injector who has been in the medical field for over 12 years! She grew up in Nashville, TN where she received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing followed by a Master of Science in Nursing Administration, a Master of Business Administration with a Healthcare focus, and, finally, a Doctorate of Nursing Practice. She worked in a variety of critical care and trauma settings before entering into Nursing Leadership roles. Her experience in hospital operations, healthcare business, and extensive knowledge of regulatory and other state statutes and laws gave this business a leg up in getting up and running and ensuring smooth operations from the moment of launch.  She is a published author in the national American Nurse Journal on business system and processes proving her expertise in the operations of business.  She is on faculty for the Aesthetic Next 5.0 2023 conference speaking on aesthetic business.

Carla believes in taking care of yourself fully and enhancing your natural beauty. She also believes aesthetics is a Nursing business and is passionate about helping all nurses get their business off the ground! She believes there are more than enough faces to go around and with proper training, we can all be master aesthetic injectors. She believes in health and wellness to support your skin, hair, nails, joints, and body from the inside while using injectables to enhance your natural beauty on the outside. Her passion is helping people grow and empowering nurses to have a better understanding of the business and professional opportunities that are out there beyond the acute care setting as well as training nurses to safely and compliantly perform beautiful aesthetics!

Courtney has been practicing law in Tennessee for 4 years.

Courtney received her undergraduate degree in agribusiness management from Tennessee Technological University. Prior to beginning law school, she worked in the office of Governor Bill Haslam. Courtney received her Juris Doctor degree from Lincoln Memorial University Duncan School of Law, where she was Valedictorian. Upon receiving her law degree, Courtney began developing her practice as a corporate attorney in a prestigious midsize law firm. Courtney lives in Knoxville with her two children and husband.

Courtney is passionate about equipping entrepreneurs with the knowledge and tools to succeed while remaining compliant with all federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations. Courtney recognizes that navigating the legal compliance process without the assistance of a skilled attorney is a cumbersome and daunting task. In addition to her role as Chief Legal Officer of Smiley Aesthetics, Courtney maintains a robust corporate transaction practice and welcomes new clients who, like Smiley Aesthetics, want to provide inclusive, convenient, and compliant aesthetic care to their patients.
