Meet Donna Smailis PA-C, a dedicated member of the Smiley Aesthetics team. Donna’s path to Smiley Aesthetics was marked by a memorable first conversation with Carla, where she initially questioned the company’s legitimacy due to the exceptional support and opportunities offered. After attending her first training session, Donna took a leap of faith and joined as a mobile Injector in October 2022. Over the past year and a half, Donna has witnessed the remarkable growth of Smiley Aesthetics and is thrilled to be part of this dynamic team.
“I have worked as a Pulmonary/Critical Care PA for the past 11 years. I absolutely love my job, but the challenging environment of the Covid ICU in 2020 took a toll on me both mentally and physically. In 2021, I found out I was pregnant and knew the COVID ICU was not the place I needed to be. While on maternity leave, I attended a training course which left me with little hands-on training and no advice for how to pursue a career in aesthetics.
I do not recall how I found Smiley, but I vividly remember my first conversation with Carla. At the time, the company was relatively small, and I admit I had reservations about its legitimacy.
My brain: how could they be this helpful?! And nice?! And they will offer me a chance to have my own business? (I definitely had my lawyer husband look into it)
After speaking with Carla and experiencing my first training, I took the leap and became a mobile Injector. I have officially been a Smiley injector since October 2022. Witnessing the remarkable growth of the company over the past year and a half has been truly impressive.
I am immensely thankful to be part of the Smiley team, and I’m filled with excitement for the future. This journey has not only provided me with a fulfilling career change but also a supportive and inspiring work environment.
