The ways it works:
Semaglutide helps the pancreas create more insulin (which is why it began as a diabetic medication and is ideal for women with PCOS, metabolic syndrome etc). This helps control hunger. The medication also slows gastric emptying making you feel full longer, and as a GLP-1 medication, it sends the signal to your brain to tell you you’re not hungry. The average weight loss with Semaglutide is 1.5-2lbs per week, but when coupled with the correct nutritional diet, weight loss can be accelerated. Once no longer on the medication, the nutritional changes will keep the weight off! Semaglutide is suitable for nearly everyone, except those with a history or immediate family history of thyroid issues. You will have a full screening with a provider before beginning our comprehensive weight loss program!

The first step is a one-on-one virtual consultation in the comfort of your own home with one of our Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Practitioners. Once determined to be a good candidate, some basic information will be gathered to measure your progress.
Next up, comes the nutritional consult with your one-on-one personal nutrition coach. Beginning the right nutrition plan in conjunction with the medication is critical to the most weight loss and maintaining it over time once no longer on the medication. Our dedicated nutrition coaches will work with you to ensure you have the best plan that suits your needs!
What’s next:
If you do not have lab results from your primary care provider within the last 6 months, they will be ordered for you. This is to ensure you are safe and fit to move forward. Once those are complete, you are ready to go! The nutrition program and medication will be ordered and will arrive directly to your doorstep! You will be educated on the self-injection process and how to best implement your nutrition program!
Finally, monthly check-ins are required while on the medications, but can be virtual! Providers are always available for any questions or concerns!
Pricing:
After the first month, medication dosing and nutritional needs will vary person-to-person. Your provider will discuss any and all costs as you may or may not need higher dosing and more medication to reach your goals; however, when coupled with our recommended nutrition program, this is normally not the case. Nutrition:
We highly recommend beginning a nutrition program in conjunction with your injections. This will ensure you are making lifestyle changes that will keep you healthy while on the medication as well as maintain your goal weight when it is reached and injections can stop! We have chosen what we believe to be the best combination of medication and nutrition. Your provider and nutrition coach will help you choose the nutrition support and plan that is right for you!
About Semaglutide:
- Candidate for Semaglutide: a person that has been struggling with weight gain or inability to lose weight.
- Contraindications to Semaglutide: anyone who has a history of thyroid cancer or who has a 1st-degree relative (sibling or parent) with thyroid cancer.
- We use with caution: Diabetics (due to risk for hypoglycemia secondary to increased insulin secretion)
- Side Effects: nausea (B12 shot will decrease nausea), constipation if inadequate water intake (water intake in ounces should equal body weight in kilograms), and some have reported diarrhea
