What is Semaglutide and How Does it Work?
Semaglutide is an injectable weight loss medication designed to boost insulin production, initially developed for diabetes management. It’s ideal for individuals with conditions like PCOS and metabolic syndrome. Semaglutide also slows gastric emptying, keeping you feeling full longer while signaling your brain that you’re not hungry. This weekly injection is suitable for most candidates, and your provider will ensure it’s the right fit for you. We believe in more than just injections; lifestyle modification is key. This encompasses nutrition, physical activity, and self-care. Without lifestyle changes, clients may regain weight once off the medication. Both, Semaglutide and Tirzepatide  are on the GLP-1 category of medications, the mechanism of action in the body works the same.

What are the Add-Ons to Enhance Weight Loss?

  •  1:1 Personal Nutrition Coach: Guiding you through the basic weight loss program.30-day Nutrition Pack: $300/month
  •  Meal Replacement Shakes: Ensure you get essential nutrients. One Meal Replacement Shake per day: $100/month
  •  Lipo Injections: Includes B12 with supplies: $100/vial (lasts up to 10 weeks)

If you’re interested in meal replacement shakes, we can add the basic weight loss pack (Isagenix brand) which includes a full 30 days of meal replacement shakes and other cleansing products. Eating on the weight loss program and semaglutide can make it challenging to consume adequate nutrition.

How long should I be in the Weight Loss Program? 

Most people remain on the medication for 6-12 months, depending on starting weight, lifestyle, dietary changes, and goals. There’s no fixed limit to the duration, as long as it continues to work for you. After reaching your goals, maintaining them relies on the lifestyle and nutritional changes you’ve embraced.

How should you store the medication?

Rest assured, the medication remains stable even if left outside after delivery. It’s designed to withstand room temperatures for up to 30 days. However, for added precaution, we recommend storing it in a refrigerator upon arrival. Typically, refrigerators provide a regulated environment, whether in a home or clinic.

Our packs are of medical-grade quality and don’t melt; they might sweat a bit. They’re effective for 36 hours. After that, we include extra insulation, extending their effectiveness for 24 hours. Your medication is in good hands!

Should Semaglutide be discontinued before undergoing surgery?

Yes, it is recommended to discontinue Semaglutide at least four weeks before any surgical procedure. However, discussing this with your healthcare provider is crucial, as they can provide specific guidance tailored to your circumstances and the type of surgery you’ll be undergoing. Always follow your healthcare professional’s advice regarding managing your medication in preparation for surgery.

Hydration and Caloric Intake

  • Drink half of your body weight in ounces of water daily (e.g., if you weigh 200lbs, aim for 100oz).
  • Daily calorie intake:
    • Women: Sedentary lifestyle – 1300 per day, moderate intentional exercise 3-5 days/week – 1500 per day.
    • Men: Sedentary lifestyle – 1500-1700 per day, moderate intentional exercise 3-5 days/week – 1900-2100 per day.
  • Aim for a daily calorie breakdown of 30% fat, 30% carb, 30% protein, leaving 10% for variation.
  • Keep carb intake around 100 grams per day.

Eating on the Weight Loss Program
Eating on the weight loss program and semaglutide can make it challenging to consume adequate nutrition. If you struggle to meet your daily calorie intake, consider Isagenix shakes. They’re clean and provide essential nutrients to keep your body functioning at its best.

Getting Started with Exercise
Start slowly, perhaps with a three-day-a-week walking routine or simple stretching. The ideal starting level varies from person to person. Gradually build a workout routine that suits you.

Common Symptoms and Suggestions

  • Nausea: Ensure you’re drinking enough water, getting sufficient calories, and consider a protein-heavy meal on injection days.
  • Fatigue: Adequate calories and hydration are vital. If you’re feeling fatigued, check your calorie intake, carb-to-protein ratio, and nutrient balance.
  • GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease): GERD is a common side effect. Begin with sufficient calorie intake. If symptoms persist, over-the-counter Famotidine may help with reflux.
  • Constipation: Ensure you’re drinking enough water and increasing fiber intake. If these lifestyle changes don’t alleviate constipation, consider over-the-counter Miralax as directed.

Reporting Damaged or Defective Products

At Smiley Aesthetics, we are committed to delivering high-quality products and exceptional service to our clients. To ensure the prompt resolution of any issues related to product damage or defects, this policy outlines the procedures for reporting such incidents.

Reporting Timeline:
Clients are advised to inspect their received orders promptly upon delivery. Any issues related to damaged or defective products must be reported within seven (7) days of receiving the order. This timeline aligns with our suppliers’ policies and allows for a more efficient resolution process.

Reporting Process:
Initial Inspection: Upon receiving an order, clients should immediately inspect the products for any visible damage or defects. If any issues are detected during this initial inspection, the client should follow the reporting process outlined below.

Report the Issue: 

Clients who discover damaged or defective products within the specified timeframe should promptly submit this FORM as soon as possible.


Once the issue is reported, our team will initiate escalate the issue to the pharmacy for an investigation. Depending on the nature of the problem, resolution may include one or more of the following actions:

  • Replacement of damaged or defective products
  • Refund or credit for the affected items
  • Further assistance or guidance as needed
